In the 80's I absolutely loved The Style Council's music and saw them live a couple of times through the years. Of course, the band leader, Paul Weller, had embarked on his second musical journey after the riotous days of The Jam.

I was too young to appreciate the significance of the Punk era and the Mod revolution; so kind of missed The Jam first time round. It was only with my appreciation of The Style Council that I realised that Paul Weller had and continues to have a significant presence in the music world.

This album has been fully tested using Musical Fidelity A5.5 amplifier and Musical Fidelity A5.5 CD player.

Pre-loved and case shows minimal signs of age-related wear

The Singular Adventures of The Style Council is a compilation album released in 1989, featuring the singles of The Style Council, the British band led by Paul Weller after his time with The Jam. This album captures the essence of the band's career from 1983 to 1989, showcasing their unique blend of pop, soul, jazz, and political commentary. The Style Council was known for their sophisticated sound and socially conscious lyrics, and this compilation provides a comprehensive look at their most significant tracks.

The album includes hits like "You're the Best Thing," "Shout to the Top!," "My Ever Changing Moods," and "Long Hot Summer." These songs reflect The Style Council's versatility and Weller's ability to evolve as a songwriter and musician. The Singular Adventures of The Style Council serves as both a retrospective of the band's successful run and an accessible introduction for new listeners, highlighting the creativity and influence of one of the most distinctive acts of the 1980s.
